The Province of Bari and Nucleco sign a memorandum of understanding on environmental remediation

The President of the Province of Bari, Francesco Schittulli, and the CEO of Nucleco, Emanuele Fontani, have signed a memorandum of understanding to foster cooperation and the exchange of information in relation to the main regulations concerning environmental remediation and in relation to technologies and methodologies for the recovery, monitoring and control of sites and locations at risk.

With the Memorandum, Nucleco, a Sogin Group company, agrees to provide the Provincial Administration with advice and scientific and technical support in order to deal with any suspected radioactive contamination situations in the area, while ensuring the utmost safety for the population and the environment, and to undertake preparatory studies for the planning of specific remediation operations.
