28 March 2017

Nucleco, the company of the Sogin Group operating in radiology services, the management of radioactive waste and the remediation of nuclear sites and industrial facilities, has recently signed a contract with CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, for support in radiological characterisation as part of the CLEAR project.

The contract was signed at the end of a Price Enquiry to which Nucleco was invited to participate together with a small number of other qualified European operators.

According to the Sogin Group, the acquisition of a service contract with the prestigious CERN fundamental research centre of Geneva, in particular in the field of radiation protection and radiological characterisation, represents the Europe-wide recognition of the high business standards achieved. This acquisition adds a prestigious reference to its business curriculum.

Thus, the new contract expands the presence of the Sogin Group abroad, and is added to the activities already carried out in Russia, the Slovak Republic, Germany, England, Belgium, Norway and at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission at Ispra (Varese).
