Sogin Group: Nadia Cherubini appointed new Nucleco President

​The Shareholders' Meeting of Nucleco, a company of the Sogin Group leader in Italy in the management of radioactive waste and in the decontamination and remediation of nuclear plants and industrial sites, has appointed Nadia Cherubini as new President.

The Board of Directors, completed by the other members Lamberto D’Andrea - as CEO - and Fernanda di Gasbarro, will remain in office until the approval of the 2020 annual financial statements.

Nadia Cherubini has a degree in Nuclear Engineering from La Sapienza University of Rome and a PhD in the characterization of radioactive materials.

At the ENEA National Laboratory, she worked on research, design and development of radiological characterization systems for the analysis of nuclear materials and products containing radioactive waste with non-destructive and destructive techniques.

Moreover, she participated in several waste management & characterization projects within the Fission Framework Programs promoted by the European Community.

Today she is Head of ENEA's Nuclear Fission Technologies, Plants and Materials Division.
