The Sogin Group at ETE 2022

​The Sogin ​Group participated, for the first time, in the Earth Technology Expo, The event, in its second edition, was dedicated to technological applications and innovation and took place from 5 to 8 October at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

The event offered an opportunity to present the company's best practices, which involve the use of innovative and sustainable technologies, in the dismantling of nuclear facilities, and in the remediation and management of radioactive waste. The Group's exhibition space also provided some insights into the future Technology Park, which will be built together with the National Radioactive Waste Repository and will serve as a centre for applied research and training in the fields of decommissioning, radiation protection, environmental monitoring and sustainable development.

To gain a closer understanding of the Group's work, visitors were able to experience virtual reality inside the “sphere”, the reactor building of the Garigliano nuclear power plant, which was reconstructed using the Survey 3D technology recently developed by the company. ​
